FIRST NATIONS ENCAMPMENT
Learn about the aboriginal communities whose contribution to the fur trade was essential to the success of the voyageurs at Fort Gibraltar and across the Northwest. Walk inside a tipi and explore the diverse and complex culture of the first inhabitants of the Red River. Stories, legends and folklore will surely fascinate you.
SNOW PLAY STRUCTURES
Voyageur Park has a multitude of outdoor activities and games that will please the whole family. Climb our hill, venture on the popular slide and take on the challenge of the snow maze!
SLEIGH RIDES
Embark on a horse-drawn sleigh ride along Voyageur Park! Only $3 for 6 years old and up and $1 for 5 and under.
VOYAGEUR ADVENTURES
Festival goers will be put to the test in a series of voyageur sports and mind bending challenges. From tug-o-wars, to contests, to massive scavenger hunts, we want participants to feel the true adventure of the voyageurs’ lifestyle. Costumed animators will explain the competitions, act as referee and between activities they will roam Voyageur Park seeking out folks who have the guts to play a real voyageur game!
MAISON CHABOILLEZ

Provided by the Brigade de la Rivière-Rouge, Taverne de la Brigade is a coveted place by all visitors who want to taste the joie de vivre of the voyageurs.

SNOWSHOE TRAIL
Presented in collaboration with Red River Outfitters.
Enjoy the great outdoors right in the middle of Winnipeg with a snowshoe adventure through Voyageur Park. Located in a tipi right next to Maison Chaboillez, our guides will explain the historical and cultural importance of the snowshoe and will then take you and your family on a guided tour along the Red River. Tours last approximately 45 minutes and equipment is provided on site.
