Law on consuming alcohol and the smoking law

The Festival du Voyageur is proud to represent Manitoban life as well as its culture. That is why it is our duty to enforce the laws of the Province of Manitoba, as well as those of the Manitoba Liquor Control Commission.

The no-smoking law is in effect, with no exceptions, in every tent and at every Trading Post during the Festival du Voyageur. To learn more about the Manitoba smoking law, visit the Province of Manitoba web site at http://www.gov.mb.ca/healthyliving/smokingban.html. We thank you for your cooperation.

Alcohol served at the Festival du Voyageur will only be sold to people who are 18 years of age or older and who have a valid piece of identification. It is also prohibited to leave any of our licensed sites with alcohol in your possession. For other inquiries on the Liquor Control Act, please visit the MLCC web site at http://web2.gov.mb.ca/laws/statutes/ccsm/l160e.php. Thank you and drink responsibly.

Wheelchair accessibility

This year, all of our Trading Posts are wheelchair accessible, with the exception of the King’s Head Pub. As for Voyageur Park, it has limited wheelchair access (the outdoor terrain is composed of compacted snow and the floor of the tents is covered with woodchips). However, the Maison du Bourgeois is equipped with an access ramp and an elevator. Bon Festival!
